Email from Dad, Part 1, My Hair

I changed my cell phone number back in April. There were a few reasons for this, but the main reason was that my Dad called me way too often. I felt he was abusing this privilege and quite honestly, he was driving me insane. I HATE talking on the phone. I rarely ever answer and often let my voice mail get full before listening to any of it. In fact, I have 6 voice mails on there now. Some of them have been there for weeks, but I refuse to listen to them. I have no idea who left them or what they're about. I'm sure if it was anything *that* important those people reached me via other means by now. Anyway, I have not given him my new number yet, but that's ok. Because he has since learned how to access the "world wide web" and his emails are HILARIOUS!

Look at this one I got last night... I had told my Dad I had a hair appointment yesterday, and this was his reply-

Hello Sheryl, I remember a few years ago I saw you upside down, unclean, and your hair a mess and now realize the hair appointment tomorrow is the one you have been waiting for. They sure took their time. I hope the results are what you want.Do not do anything crazy with your hair,Littleton will not recognize you.Have a good weekend, enjoy your time off.Love,  Dad

Translation: "a few years ago" = 39 years and 3 months ago, the day I was born. I actually was born, as my Dad describes it, with a "big mop of black hair". According to my Dad, they had a barrette in my hair almost immediately (which may explain my love of hair accessories). I really had that much hair! Here I am, at one day old:

My first day on earth

So, Dad, yes, they did what I asked - the roots on my blonde streak were touched up and they cut about 3 inches off. Don't worry, Littleton recognized me. But thanks for your concern. Really. Thanks.

OMG, I adore your father. At least they put a barrette in your hair. My mother just told everyone that I was "covered in black hair, like a monkey."
